Please note that I am still a Linux newbie. I first installed Gentoo in the fall of 2005, after having (e)migrated from Windows 95 (and Windows 3.1 before that), and I don't really do any "under the hood" work on it unless something breaks. So keep that in mind if you want to ask me a question about Gentoo.

After a brief exchange with Thrasher (his response), I've started working on the category structure of this wiki, including the creation of a new "root" category (let me know if the name bothers you) and a new naming scheme for the categories involved in the various number-of-edits awards.
I've also started to place orphaned (no parent) categories in the "catch-all" root Category:Browse categories. As of summer 2008, I'm not really working on this anymore. Eventually I'd like to develop a more coherent structure; see Gentoo Linux Wiki talk:Categorization for more information (and to help establish policies).
