Following questing about the installation of submount:

I don't have (and don't want) a kernel with module support. Does that mean I can't use submount or how should I proceed? Would be nice to mention this in the HowTo!

Andreas

I don't believe you'll be able to use submount in that case. You can probably still use ivman though.

Hello, my submount works perfectly, with my USB device defined in udev, but they don't unmount cleanly, it becomes messy and unclean, and unsecure for my data i think, if anyone have a solution, please post it here.

thanks.

Did you sync it prior to removing the device? I presume you're talking about an USB stick here. After syncing it should be safe to remove all external devices. If that doesn't apply to your case, please post some more info about your specific problem. pi~ 21:13, 13 Feb 2005 (GMT)

[edit] df

With submount 0.9-r2 df doesnt show subfs mounts, but mount do.

Can anybody confirm that?
