[edit] mirrorselect on Networkless Install?

Let me begin by saying that I truly appreciate the author(s) posting this information. I am in the process of installing Gentoo 2006.0 onto a laptop with an unsupported the wireless card. Could someone provide additional guidance, in particular, how can mirrorselect be used without a network connection?
