Talk:HOWTO Gnome Desktop for the End-User
From Gentoo Linux Wiki
[edit] gdesklets - pygtk ~x86
I also had to add pygtk to package.keywords. Not a particularly critical addition to the information though as the user should already know how to add given the existing examples, and portage will tell them what packages are needed... but just for the sake of completeness I thought I'd mention it.
[edit] My Fav App [Here]
I know everyone wants to put down their favorite app, but the purpose of this, in my mind, is to give the best examples of gnome apps and then a few other apps where another is clearly a better choice for many people. For example: it makes sense to list both gnumeric and openoffice. It doesn't make as much sense to list totem, xine, and mplayer.
There are other "recommend apps" lists on the wiki for those who are interested - and you can always browse the portage tree. So please keep the number of apps listed here down to a minimum.
;-)
Hey, I just want to add link to the Hebrew Gentoo. What was the problem? I didn't meant to make vandalism.
A link is no problem - feel free to add it. But, you deleted almost half the page as well (as the "history" tab shows).
Sorry. I think my net went down when I saved the page and that cause the problem.
