can you explain why we need Jack? thanks.
It may not be 'needed'. However, it is suggested, as on most systems (every system I have done this with) the sound will 'lag' behind the actions of the player or will cut out halfway through a particular sound. If someone could post a way in which to fix this, that would be helpful, until then, we use jack.
