Metadistribution is a term referring to an adaptable system that is capable of building itself to the user's specification. Gentoo is capable of being a production server, a workstation, a desktop system, a gaming system, an embedded solution, and anything else the end user may want. Metadistributions provide you with nearly infinite flexibility and customizability.
