[edit] Introduction
This article should help you get some info about the ASUS X51RL. For writing this article, I'm using a Asus X51Rl-AP070D. I got the gentoo system running very easy (I'm using gentoo for more than 3 years now), but there are still some issues I haven't been able to figure out - this is my first laptop ... and I'm working on it since 3 days now...
This article isn't finished yet, but I'm going to get it as detailed as it should be. Stay tuned!

[edit] DVD
DVD works out of the box. For being able to play Video-DVDs you will need to set the region on your drive. First, you will need to install the app-misc/regionset package:
$ emerge -a regionset
Next, actually set the region on your drive: Run
$ regionset /dev/dvd1
and set the region code (see [1]) according to your needs. For more info see the regionset homepage[2].
[edit] Bluetooth??
Looks like this notebook has bluetooth built in. But how to activate it? If anyboy knows, replace this part by appropriate information, please!
