Installing gentoo-linux went witout any serious problem.

• Graphics Card - see this HowTo.
• Power savings (speed step) - works.
• Ethernet - works
• WiFi - works - use net-wireless/ipw2200-firmware
• TouchPad - works
• Sound - works
• Battery life - comparable to windows
• MMC/SD/MS card reader - with kernel version 2.6.22 is working!
• WebCam - not working with kernel version 2.6.22, but maybe m560x driver can help

[edit] Problems

• Sound - Not working headphones connector - this problem can be partially solved by pluging headphones to rear repro connector.
• Hibernation - partially worked with sys-kernel/gentoo-sources 2.6.16-r3

Generally I'm very pleased using this notebook with gentoo-linux.
